The First Decade

During the past decade we have built an excellent team of people to take the MicroPort family through the challenges of tomorrow. Here are just a few of the people that helped build MicroPort. Along with all our employees, they embraced the challenges and stood the test of time. They shared the difficulties, and triumphed in the moments of glory, and together, represent the reason for our company's success. Each has been quietly dedicated to the hard-work and perseverance that has enabled us to establish MicroPort as a innovative, trusted and respected company. We are all filled with pride, because the success of MicroPort is all about them.

Now our sales department is marketing our wide range of medical products nationally and internationally. "When I joined MicroPort the entire financial team was just two people. We faced some really difficult challenges, and sometimes, I watched the financial statements, and wondered if MicroPort could survive. I often worried about myself, but Dr. Chang was always very persistent, and always encouraged us. He would say, that MicroPort will be successful. Dr. Chang designed the new factory plant with 28 parking spaces, saying that we will all be driving to work in the future. At the time most of us thought these words were a fairy tale. Now our car parking lot is far too small for all of us and we are building a larger facility "

"Ten years ago I joined MicroPort, and it was constantly challenging, and encouraged the habit of hard work and study. In recent years, I won over a dozen national patents and many awards. Last year, our company met with colleagues in France. While looking through the aircraft window as we flew into Paris, I recalled how several years ago I first came to Shanghai by train. We have gone through so many years growing together, and today I am seeing and feeling some of our company's endeavours come to fruition".

"I was working in the USA when I learned about the development of MicroPort products. I thought about doing something meaningful and MicroPort was a good opportunity. I remember the 2007 visit, I witnessed the vibrant environment and this was the reason I chose to join. MicroPort trust me, and give me a creative platform to achieve excellence. For me MicroPort is like my home. I have the best time here, and not only in terms of my personal career, but also because we are innovating to benefit the medical equipment industry here in China"

"I joined in 2000, and at that time, not a single Chinese company was developing or producing these products. Coronary stents were all imported, the price of a bare stent was very expensive, and patients had to bear the cost of thousands of dollars. MicroPort was determined to offer patients locally produced coronary stents at affordable cost. In the following years MicroPort rapidly developed, and now our products are used in hospital's all over China and around the world. I am truly honoured to be apart of MicroPort and it's achievements"

" My journey began in 2000 and I never expected to stay for 8 years. To be honest, my first impressions were a little disappointing. The first day at work I had nothing to do, we neither had the experience nor the products and I had the idea to return home. I soon began to get very busy, and eight years have passed quickly. I probably have had the most diverse experience, working with all our products. Now I am mainly responsible for the EP projects and new product development"
Yang Qianqian
"In the first eight years, I have the greatest feeling for our products, and the real benefit they provide to humanity. For me its very sacred. And the "people first" philosophy is truly inspiring, it feels like we have a family, and we all care. I have total dedication and determination toward my work at MicroPort because our company leadership and business philosophy inspires me.
